You may not need any help in this department, and lucky you! But most people have no idea where to start when it comes to pulling outfits together for a family photography session.
The perfect place to start? Pick a color palette, if you don’t know exactly which colors – choose either warm or cool. If it’s spring, try cool colors with some baby blues and light greens. Warm colors are excellent for fall and you can’t go wrong when you stick with colors in either of those families (NOT combining warm and cool). It will help everyone have a cohesive look without being too “matchy matchy.”

If you’re feeling fancy, you could try to pull colors from a pattern! Personally, I love Old Navy for family outfits. I feel like it’s super easy to find complimentary colors across the different departments and there’s something for everyone. Not to mention it’s very affordable when it comes to buying for multiple people.
Don’t forget to accessorize!! Add a scarf, a hat, some statement jewelry. Do just a liiiiittle bit more than you would for an everyday look. It really helps to level up your outfit and give your photos an air of sophistication 😉
Is styling your family just your thing? I would love to hear your suggestions to share with others. This can be such a hard thing for some, but please remember I’m here to help! Feel free to send me photos of what you’re thinking of wearing and I can give you some tips – or just a thumbs up if you’ve already nailed it!
Cheers! I can’t wait to see you all for family photos soon!
