If you know me, you know that I LOVE meeting new people! Photographing families for their family portraits every year is definitely my jam. I love it even more when there are new faces! Brittany emailed me to capture new family portraits and I am SO thankful she chose me!

Just in case you can’t tell by their uniforms, they are a family dedicated to civil service and the sweetest people I’ve met. I’m not even being dramatic.

The outfits they chose for their civilian portraits were perfect and I absolutely loved the colors they chose. The yellow dress on their daughter was PERFECT.

We chose Bell Tower Green here in Salisbury, NC as their photoshoot location and it was great. We have everything from steps, to an old bell tower, historic homes and beautiful landscaping.

If you haven’t been to that park yet, you definitely need to check it out. It quickly became one of our favorite places in the city and we go there at least once a week to let our own toddler play.

One thing that Brittany did such a great job with was choosing the colors for each person to wear for their session. Brittany wore a dress that had hints of mustard yellow and her daughter’s dress pulls out that color in the print! Curtis wore navy pants to tie in and a neutral shirt to keep it toned down a little bit.

It was icing on the cake when the fire truck showed up! They even brought props for our session.

After we took a few portraits at Bell Tower Green, we walked half a block away down to the Hall house (recognize it?!). It’s such a beautiful historic home and it makes a wonderful backdrop for family portraits.
