I have known this sweet family since we moved to Salisbury, and man oh man am I thankful that a friend introduced us those years ago! The patriarch of this group owns a beautiful piece of land here in Gold Hill and I’ve come here several times to photograph these awesome people. First it was for Jessica and Darrill’s engagement session, then it was for their wedding, then again for these family portraits!

I absolutely love the dynamics of a larger group, and we have a lot of fun with the different groupings and pairings that come with an extended family portrait session.
When preparing for a larger group photography session, you don’t necessarily need to make a portrait list for me. I do most typical groups, like grandkids with grandparents, or siblings all together, etc. But if there is something specific or unique, it’s great to let me know that ahead of your portrait session so I can come prepared!
If you don’t have a property that you want use for your portrait session, there are several public parks close by that I love to go to! There is also a studio in downtown Concord that I love to use and it’s a perfect size for larger groups!

The holiday season is a great time to think about scheduling an extended family portrait session – lots of family members are in town that normally aren’t and you can document this time together!
